International Junior Aventure

sal' kidisori,

Ati participa?

Merita copiata initiativa si s-o avem in vedere cind va fi nevoie  ...

The Event

The International Junior Adventure is 5 days of unparraleled adventure activities for children, there are two options, Adventure Discovery and Adventure Performance .

The activities in both the are almost identical. However the Discovery event is lesure based and the Performance event competition based.

At the end of the third day whilst the majority of participants continue with the regular program the finalists in the Adventure Performance will be selected to take off for two days of more exacting challenges further afield.

In both events the children spend all 4 nights in self constructed bivouacs in the forest.

The activities run from 17th to the 21st of July. On the 16th welcome, transport from Marseille airport and accommodation will be provided for participants arriving from abroad.

Throughout we aim to offer the children the opportunity to surprise
themselves with their own capabilities, but always with an eye to their individual limits and above all their safety.

Participants will move between most challenges on foot, although those in the Performance Adventure will sometimes use mountain bikes. Occasionally transport by bus will be used.

At the end of the event there will be a closing ceremony and prize giving for those taking part in the Adventure Performance.

Adventure Discovery

In the Discovery event a greater emphasis is put on leisure and initiation in the activities.

The Adventure Discovery is open to all children from 7 to 17 years of age who have a level of physical fitness sufficient to take part in school sports. No particular sporting experience is necessary and deaf children are welcome.

Teams consist of two children in the same age group 7 – 9, 10 – 13 and 14 – 17. Entrants can register as a team or as individuals, in which case we will match them with a suitable team mate.

Adventure Performance

The spirt of the Adventure performance is that of an adventure race. Children entered in the Adventure Performance have additional challenges during the regular program on which they are timed.

Scores are awarded not only for speed but also, for example, overcoming fear and mutual support which are qualities upon which we place great emphasis and encourage in participants in both events.

The Adventure Performance is open to children from 10 – 17 years of age who, participate regularly in sports, can swim, ride a bike and are ready to rough it in the great outdoors. Deaf children are welcome.

Teams consist of two children in the same age group 10 – 13 and 14 – 17. Entrants can register as a team or as individuals, in which case we will match them with a suitable team mate.

The challenges will be testing but adapted to the children's different ages. The organisation may change challenges slightly during the event according to the level of fatigue of the children.

Sposorship

For parents who would like their children to be involved in raising funds for either their own, or another child's entry fee a pack of 50 International Junior Adventure sponsorship post cards is available at the price of postage : €5/pack. Please see the Registration and Fees page for details.
